Welcome to the Abbey Business & Community Centre Website- a place to stay up to date with news and events at the ABC Centre!

After the closure of Abbey School in 2012, the Abbey Business and Community Centre (ABC Centre) was established in the Village of Abbey in Southwestern Saskatchewan.  Funding is 100% volunteer driven for this community-based organization, developed by and accountable to the community.  The main purpose of the ABC Centre is community development through education, recreation, and socialization.  We provide artistic, cultural, educational, health, fitness, and recreational activities within an inclusive organization that fosters well-being and community.  Residents can drop into the library, games or play room, workout in the fitness room or gymnasium, get their hair done at the salon, shop at the volunteer operated thrift store and use the kitchen and meeting rooms. Volunteers keep this building alive and humming for use for community fundraisers, fitness classes, meetings and children’s programs.  The centre services all ages in the Village of Abbey, RM of Miry Creek and surrounding region of the Great Sandhills.  The ABC Centre is governed by a volunteer board of 9 individuals.
